My Review of "October Sky"
October Sky had me engaged from the minute it started. What's even crazier is that it's based on a true story. Going into the movie I thought it was already an extraordinary tale. To find out that it was based on a true story really inspired me to believe in people and their dreams.

My Review of "The Half Of It"
The Half Of It turned out to be a really good movie. I honestly wasn't looking forward to seeing this movie because I thought it would end up as a mere copy of the movie Roxanne (but then Roxanne was a copy of Cyrano de Bergerac). Little did I know there's a huge twist at the end that I saw coming but didn't see coming.

My Review of "Can You Ever Forgive Me?"
Can You Ever Forgive Me? is a biography of Lee Isreal. I haven never heard of Lee until I watched this movie. Her story is absolutely fascinating. I really fell for this movie because of her bond with her friend Jack. They are a true odd couple that really work. Their chemistry is undeniable and I really wished for more scenes with the two together.

My Review of "The Little Hours"
The Little Hours showed up suddenly in my Netflix suggested list and honestly I didn't know what to make of the movie. It stars a pretty big name cast but it's based in a convent in the middle ages. I have to admit I'm one of the few people that actually really liked the movie Your Highness so I had to give this movie a shot. There's no way I could have planned what I was about to witness.

My Review of "I Am Not Okay With This: Season One"
I Am Not Okay With This is a Netflix exclusive TV series that I thought would explore a girl's super powers. I soon found out that this movie is actually more about the main character Syd trying to figure herself out. She has so much angst that it was very difficult to watch this season at times. The thing about this is that the show had to make her this way for the series to work. Once you get to the very end you realize that everything was done pretty intelligently.

My Review of "The Core"
The Core is an early 2000's disaster movie. These were really big in the late 90's and early 2000's. I guess there was a lot of panic with Y2K that everyone ate these movies up. I know I'm becoming one of these suckers. This movie shows some of its age but it's still enjoyable if you don't take this movie too seriously.

My Review of "The Wizard of Oz"
The Wizard of Oz brings me nice memories of when I was a kid and used to watch this on TV because it was on all the time. I remembered liking this movie back in the day but was kind of worried about my reaction to it today. Just don't have anything blatantly offensive please! I'm happy to report that I still had a good time watching it. I even got to watch the movie in 3D!

My Review of "Hearts Beat Loud"
Hearts Beat Loud was an unexpectedly good movie. I didn't think much of it when I decided to watch it but there was a lot more substance to this movie than I had originally thought. It's an interesting perspective of both father and daughter. I really liked how they melded the story about their small family. There is a very realistic element to it that felt genuine.

My Review of "Jerry Seinfeld: 24 Hours to Kill"
Jerry Seinfeld: 24 Hours to Kill was kind of a shock because I haven't seen a Jerry Seinfeld comedy special in a long time. I remember loving his comedy back in the day. His jokes were always clean and very observational. Obviously I was curious to see what he would have to say about life today. The comedy now has changed so much, I wasn't sure how well he would do.

- Top Story - May 2020
I finally reached my Vocal Media payout!Top Story - May 2020
I don't consider myself a great writer but I am a patient person. Over the last two years I have tried to be as consistent as I could. I've experienced some difficulties but pushed through and it was all worth it. The money isn't a huge deal but it is nice to have a small reward for my efforts. I don't think Vocal Media is for everyone but I really appreciate the great staff that they have and how they've encouraged me to continue to write.

My Review of "Dante's Peak"
Dante's Peak came out back in 1997. It was a time when disaster movie's were the big thing because the year before Twister was a huge hit. Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton were probably at the height of their careers. This movie should have been a slam dunk. That's probably why I wanted to see it back in the day. I also like disaster movies for some reason.
