I grew up poor. I was never homeless or without bare essentials, but I understood my family had less than others. My clothes came from thrift stores or second hand from friends and family. We sometimes had to trade in our TV for electricity, and a lot of the times, lunch consisted of saltine crackers with sliced American cheese.
Does your partner always want to have sex more often than you? Are you perfectly fine going a week or more without intercourse? Does it feel like it takes more to get you aroused?
Raise your hand if you hate interviewing for a new job. I can't actually see you, but I SEE you. Being an introverted homebody, I have always dreaded the moments leading up to an interview. In fact, starting a new job, in general, has scared me from quitting some of the hell holes I've worked at.
There has been a debate for a while now that I never really understood. This rule is not necessarily enforced in the fashion world these days. Still, we have all heard the fact that we shouldn't wear white after Labor Day or before Memorial Day. Why is this?
We have all had this situation happen to us. You go to the store and try on multiple pairs of denim jeans. No matter what you try, you feel like they all make you look wide and create a soggy butt appearance. After jumping into several pairs, you leave feeling defeated and hateful towards your body.
The great outdoors! With technology booming right now and AC versions of everything, we spend less time outside and more time lounging around watching Netflix from the comfort of our beds. Trust me when I say I'm in no way judging you for this. I am a lover of shutting myself inside for a week with a 12 pack box of popcorn and Gilmore Girls streaming 24/7.
I'm not going to talk about how much I enjoy the fall season, because my Pinterest shows my love all too well for everyone. One thing I don't usually talk about is how tight money is during this time of the year. It isn't due to making less money, but more the number of holidays and family outings that happen during the fall and winter months. With recipes to prepare, gifts given out, and decorating the house, there isn't much money left for other excursions. We still need a vacation during the colder months. I usually take two weeks off each year; one to a new place around the world, and another in the comfort of my own home.
With the winter popping its head out, it is that time of year again to dust off the thick coats and comforters. Snow days occur on the regular where I live, making hot coffee and layers an everyday occurrence in my home. Depending on where you live, you might not have cold climates or have ever even seen snow. Therefore, traveling to these places might have you unprepared for just how cold it can get in some regions.
