The Deadly Croissant
I was just getting home from work when I got the call. It was my best friend, and they sounded frantic. All they said was that someone had been eating a croissant in the park and had suddenly collapsed. I told them I was on my way and hung up the phone.

The Secret Goat
I ate my hamburger with cheese and bacon and some secret sauce that I made. It was so good. I was in my room on my computer looking up some stuff for school and I saw a commercial for a new video game that I wanted. I decided that I would buy it with my allowance money that I saved up. I went to my brother's room and asked to borrow his money since he always has some. He said no and I asked why. He told me that he needed it for something important. I was about to leave when he said that he would give me the money if I did him a favor. I asked what it was and he told me that he needed me to watch our little sister while he and our mom went out to run some errands. I said that I would do it and he gave me the money.

My Dog Is Addicted To Killing Mice
We were sitting in the basement, just me and my dog Rex. It was dark and spooky down there, and I was trying to summon up the courage to go explore the rest of the house. But Rex was getting restless, and I didn't want to leave him alone.

Yuval Noah Harari: 'We are becoming gods, but also slaves'
Historian Yuval Noah Harari wrote the book Sapiens. This book is about the history of mankind. According to Harari, faith and human thoughts played a major role in the development of the past. He told more about this in VPRO Tegenlicht. He told us that we can play god in the future. We are now so advanced that we can clone animals and develop our own realities (Like Virtual Reality). We can create our own world. But these developments can also take over us, allowing us to be manipulated by algorithms. It is “create or be created” according to Harari.

We Probably Live In A Computer SimulationTop Story - August 2022
Most of us are familiar with the simulation theory. The theory asks whether our reality is the true one. Movies like The Matrix and The Truman Show have popularized this theory. We are mainly concerned with whether or not we are controlled by a greater force. That greater force can be anything -- a computer program that controls us, or, for example, a vessel that confines our brains and prevents us from controlling it.
