The Summer I'll Never Forget
I spent the summer in the country, I enjoyed nature and the animals. They offered a refuge to me as being quiet that I didn't get to experience in the city. The city was busy, hectic and bustling with activity. From the constant construction, noisy traffic, events and constant work life. I loved to seek quiet within nature just to bring back my overall mental health. It was a judgment free zone where I could wear old sundresses and sandals, with unpainted toes and unkempt hair. Just a place to be wild and free with our authentic selves. Just us alone with ourselves and nature, not another soul in sight that could judge me.

The Heart Shaped Locket
The pandemic way of living was the most eerie feeling day and night. As the woman wandered the darkened streets alone even though it was just 9pm at night but no one was to be seen. The restaurants had all closed, people weren’t leaving their homes anymore those that had survived and not moved away to remote locations. Anyone who was there was just keeping themselves inside the house. She reached in her pocket of her vintage coat and felt deep in her pocket the object she was searching for. She began tracing her finger over the surface of it, just to relieve her stress and anxiety.

My Passion for a Healthy Lifestyle
A bit about me. I have been an athlete since I was 6 years old. I had started as a competitive swimmer at a young age. Swimming was an outlet for me from my life and some of my childhood and family issues. I continued to compete in more Sports as a healthy outlet for me and to gain confidence and a positive mindset. I became a champion in over 9 sports, and went on to coach many other fitness, children, adults, amateur and professional athletes as well. Since a young age I didn’t want to eat meat. It was unappealing to me. My family forced me and I accepted it, at 13 I tried to be vegetarian after 8 months and nervous about vitamin deficiencies I stopped. By the time I was 24 I was eating mostly farm grown veggies and consuming organic meats.

The Magical Dessert
Every family seems to have that one dish…...You know that infamous dish that no one can get enough of. The one that everyone loves and eats, tries to replicate but fails. The one dish that gets demanded at all family gatherings, and there is never enough of it. In my house we had that dish and it was always made by my step-mother. It was her amazing Apple Crumble that was completely made from scratch. She won over people we invited over with her dish and I had wanted my first husband to try her famous Apple Crumble someday….you know to convince him to marry me. Hahaha…..A girl has to have a secret weapon, something sorta magical to convince a man.

The Ship That Never Came To Shore
The locals in the little beach community had always been very calm and cool. It was a smaller city outside of the huge metropolis, ships came in and out the port to get supplies or to bring in supplies. Ships and boats were constantly rented out for parties and events from the shore. But there was this one instant where a boat had just sat out and never came in for weeks. People talked in the city about the "ship on the horizon" because all you could see was the ship, not the people and it would never come in.

Merlot Helped Me To Win My SoulMate
First I wasn't looking for romance, I was comfortable with my life and used to being the "Alpha Female", you know the strong, independent and free willed woman. I was used to relying on myself and taking care of myself. I guess as being let down so many times in the past, I just liked it that way. I bought myself my own flowers, treats, food and clothes. I had never let a man do things for me, it's just me. I was comfortable being alone, supporting myself and I was content with it. That is until I met him....to keep him secret let's call him "Jake".

The Ideal Dream Date
I think like anyone else that is dating or potentially looking for the perfect romantic partner or the ideal mate we all have certain standards. Standards aren't always a bad thing, they are needs that we need to have met in order to feel appreciated, wanted and ultimately loved. Some experts call this our "love language", some call it "expectations" and also call it even our zodiac's programming. I do believe it is programming and a mindset that is developed from our parents, they taught us from an early age our definition of love and how it should look like. It's built into our belief system and mindset. But I do believe that we also construct our own perception of dating and what "types" we date.

Michelle Obama, The Black Queen
As being a Millennial Woman, or any woman involved in Business or in North America. You’d be very aware of who Michelle Obama is, unless you had lived in a very remote dark place on the Earth and were unaware of your surroundings. Michelle Obama, First Lady and a fashion icon for North America, she wore American Fashion to promote their growth. Her fashion style influenced me that you can still be beautiful even though you dress very classy and in a very conservative way. This influential Black QUEEN, affected the USA if not the WORLD.

The Little Black Book
As I sat there on an afternoon waiting for the bus to take me to work, I had reflected on the night before. The stress and worries that I had on all the upcoming bills like every other month and wondered how I was going to pay all of them off again. Something overcame me that there was a solution and it would come across my life almost like magic. I shook that feeling or thought off and continued on my morning previously and that is how I arrived at the bus stop. As I sat there something inside my head told me to look to the side of the bench to the left of me.
