Let’s Talk: Proper Skincare & Simplifying Your Routine
For my entire life I have struggled with my skin. It’s extremely frustrating and there’s many factors that come into play but it seems as though I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars over the years probably closer in the thousands I am beauty products thinking that they would fix my skin. Not to my knowledge at the time I was using products that were causing more harm to my skin than good. These products were always known as the best way to clear up your skin the best way to exfoliate your skin etc. so I was confident that I had a good routine. Over the years I’ve learned better and have dropped a couple of those products but have still continued using different products from those brands and still using things that were more harmful to my skin and probably causing me to break out even more than I already was. It wasn’t until quarantine and due to TickTock that I have actually learned a lot about skin care and what is good for my skin versus what companies tell me is good for my skin.
Keep up Whit Me: The Content Creator Bringing Positivity back to Social Media
Looking for a new creator to support? Anamesa has just the one! Meet Whitney, a social media content creator who is building her fanbase as we speak. Whitney's content is humorous, witty, talented and showcases her genuine, high spirited personality. Whitney is part of the Anamesa generation and is a great representation for our generation.
Aanamesa aims to showcase the talents of those who belong to Generation Anamesa. Arcuti is a recording artist, producer and audio enigneer based out of New Jersey (we love a fellow New Jerseyian). Arcuti sings, plays guitar, piano and makes his own music. I personally listen to his music on Spotify (and you should, too) and had to reach out to get more insight on him as an artist to feature him on Anamesa.
Let’s Talk Skincare: Good Molecules
Good molecules is a skin care brand that has caught my eye over the past couple of months. I’ve seen them all over my Instagram feed and have even seen them in some beauty influencers Tik Tok s. One day I finally decided to check out the website and to my amazement, their products were beyond affordable. All of their products are reasonable priced, generally randing from $6-12 per product, and they range from having cleansers to serums, exfoliating powders and powders that could be worked in with your moisturizers to deliver extra vitamin C. What appealed to me the most was the fact that their ingredients list is very direct, very short and very conscious of what is actually good and healthy for our skin. A lot of other companies tend to use alcohols that can actually be drying to the skin and this company does not. I didn’t notice fragrance of any kind on any of the ingredients list which is a big plus to see. They are also eco-conscious which to me is important to support companies who consider their impact on the earth. Their ingredients list is easy to understand just by reading it- however, on the website they give a further breakdown of what is in their products and how the products work.
Strut the Skies! A Shop. Sell. Strut! Event
It was a beautiful day to Strut the Skies on August 15, 2020. Amanda Witkowski and Alyssa Lego spearheaded yet another magnificent event filled with fashion, entertainment, fundraising and more! Of course, this event looked much different than their events in the past, given the pandemic and finding a safe way to bring attention to the cause they have dedicated themselves to- bringing awareness to Autism and raising funds to help individuals on the spectrum.
What if our Friends are our Soulmates?
As someone who grew up with parents that were high school sweethearts, achieving a love like their's was always a goal. I imagined that one day I would meet my soulmate and everything would just instantly work out. As I've gotten older, I've really thought about that word- soulmate- and what it actually means. If you search Google for the definition of soulmate, they will define it as "a person ideally suited to another as a close friend or romantic partner." If someone would have told me when I was younger that my soulmate could be a friend of mine and did not necessarily have to be a romantic partner, they would have saved me a lot of stress.
