The Devil was nothing like I imagined, yet now that I had seen it I could not imagine anything more fitting. Although translucent skin covered most areas, his feet were covered seamlessly in scales and feathers. Each equipped with two snakes at the heel that seemed to melt into the feet like veins, waiting until they were needed, as if they were to steer in the water or sky. It had hands that were long and slender, constantly shifting between eerie and ugly, to elegant and delicate. It’s skin was almost like a film of water keeping everything in shape while roaming around like a pool settling down. It’s torso was tightly bound by the water holding everything in, yet one could see that underneath, fire was raging, lashing out and settling almost as if trying to accept its fate before out bursting yet again (I could relate).
This is my step by step take on observations I made while watching Sherlock.

Newborns are shoved in day-cares. If you’re lucky your parents can afford a nice one that makes sure you get stimulation and learning. If you’re really lucky you have a parent at home. Mostly, there’s no time to answer why. If you’re different, alienation can start here.
Can’t be perfect/ Can’t be sad.
Don’t fake joy/ but don’t be mad.
Don’t be real/ if it’s just what we want to hear
Just be yourself/ what’s wrong, dear?
You grab a bag, and you walk. You look at the stars and wonder what you ever saw, except endless nothing. It hurts in a way that speaks of immortality. Has the pain of eternity been hiding all along, or is it new?
The toy, it would show up whenever it found someone who could see it. Shiny and bright and like nothing they’d ever seen, they’d all fall hopelessly in love with it. They would ooh and ahh at its new and otherworldly buttons and features. They would play with it and be enraptured in a world they never knew exist, with a melody so beautiful it could show you the meaning of life.
