Non-Common, Memorable Wedding Songs
Let's be honest, how many times are you willing to hear "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran at a wedding? I get it, some songs are simply popular and fit the mood perfectly. However, your first dance should be unique, special, and not be based on what is "the big hit" for the year.

Weddings, just like any celebration, can result in an immense amount of waste. An average wedding produces about 400 pounds of garbage and 63 tons of CO2 emissions (according to The Green Bride Guide). Imagine carrying out 400 bags of garbage at the end of your wedding day? Yeah, hard pass for most. So, let’s be the change we wish to see!

Take Spring Cleaning To A Whole New Level
Daily walks have been the saving grace of many people's quarantine routines, myself included. One day I pondered about how I could make this new routine more meaningful and proactive. So, I picked up a pair of gloves and a bag before heading out to the familiar streets. Living in a small town, I wasn't expecting to come back with a bag full of litter. Yet, I did. I filled that bag up so quickly it really opened my eyes to the amount of litter around my town. After a few days cleaning up my neighborhood side streets, I decided to challenge myself to pick up litter for a whole month.

There is no secret that this year was full of couples stressing about having to rain-check their weddings. However, love still prevailed and the lucky, determined few still got to say “I DO”. These lessons may seem obvious, but yet a global pandemic is what it took to remind us of them. Dare I say, these lessons break through the shiny preconception the wedding industry has laid before couples for decades.

At a young age, my mother instilled in her children the practice of hand making cards and the sentimental value held within a simple, wispy piece of paper. Especially during the holidays, my mom's favorite part isn't the unwrapping of her gifts, but cracking open the cards made by her children.

As the colder weather creeps upon the year, comfort food and sacred holiday recipes come to the table. This holiday tale starts a fortnight before Christmas. Outside, trees become bare with only fresh snow covering their limbs. The Christmas tree is dragged into the home and placed upright with pride as the smell of pine fills the living room. My brother pops in the DVR of the classic Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, the animated 1964 version of course. (Yes, we still have a DVR player and DVRs) My sisters, mother, grandma, and I all gather in the kitchen. With eager taste buds, we get into positions.
