Alligator Exploration Adventure & Cat Extravaganza
I tend to start my mornings with meadows of freshly blooming phloxes and lemons, celadons and milky pigments. The cerulean of the cloudless, endless blanket of sky. Listening to the birds chirping, woodpeckers knocking, cicadas buzzing. All the components of my daily hunt for wildlife. Usually, the entirety of those trips is spent trying to identify and distinguish different birds (that look almost identical in some cases) and other critters; grey & blue herons, various colored ibises, moccasins, geckos and skinks- the list is just too long. The picture above is one of an ibis that slowly let me walk by as it was drying its wings after a swim. (I was really expecting it to launch at me, being THAT close).

Torture
The torture I enable myself to receive from this is inconceivable. Being surrounded by such talent, ability. Surrounded by people who have such futures panned out for them. It’s only a reminder of my own short-comings, thus creating a mutilating self awareness of my own inability. It’s the agony of a heart-wrenching chord progression. It’s a broach to my deepest complex. The very foundation of the loathing I taint myself in.

Worst Heartbreak
And the worst type of heartbreak isn’t one induced by a sudden reveal of wrongdoing, but by gradual loss of feelings. Watching you change, your eyes change. The way you look at me slowly become less whimsical, your eyes and expression hardening, no longer showing the softness I used to inflict on your soul.

Microwave vs Oven
There’s a difference between cooking with a microwave, and an oven. With a microwave, it’s fast, convenient- it’s for instant gratification. It’s for busy souls not having the time and availability to cook something properly. Microwaves don’t require warming or preparation, they quickly heat the outside, penetrating some food substances, leaving you with a product inconsistent in temperature, not quite heated all throughout. You don’t typically cook with a microwave, you just warm things up.

Not just mindless touching
I felt every inch of your skin grazing under my fingertips. Every curve of your bones, each relaxed and tense muscle within you. Every delicate, silky strand of hair, untwining between my fingers. Every rise on your shoulders due to the sun speckling your before untouched skin. It wasn’t just mindless touching. I wanted you to feel every iota of my concentration, attention, and compassion in the way I lay my hands on you.
