Patterns of NatureTop Story - June 2021
When I started applying a mirror effect to my nature photos, I quickly became enamored with the results. Beautiful intricate patterns emerged. Many different patterns could be made from the same photo. I totally fell in love and wanted to apply this technique to all my nature photos to see what the resulting pattern would be. Over the course of a couple of weeks, I had created more than 500 unique images.

Making The Most of Trail Camera Footage Through Photo Editing
We enjoy seeing the wildlife that coexist with us on our property. However the animals tend to be shy and not show themselves, with many species only coming out at night. We placed several trail cameras in the fields, woods, and streams hoping to see the creatures acting natural, without fear from our presence. Much to our delight, we captured an abundance of footage showing bobcats, deer, coyotes, turkeys, foxes, raccoons, groundhogs, opossums, skunks, birds, squirrels, herons, owls, vultures, mice, and many other creatures.

Like A Fine Red Wine
I met Jack in college. I was a freshman and he was a graduate student about to get his masters degree. At eighteen, I was mature for my age - sometimes mistaken to be in my thirties. Jack, on the other hand, was twenty-four with a youthful, boyish likeness. We had become close friends and decided to try going on a date, a real date – not just eating together in the dorm cafeteria.

Lucky's Story
I grew up at a plant nursery. There were lots of greenhouses to explore and mice to catch. I had a really big family. I had brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and cousins... you get the idea. My family was wild. We wouldn't go near a human. The humans that lived in the big house had dogs, and those dogs didn't like us! It was a hard life with lots of competition. The other cats were content to live that way, but not me. I wanted a family. I wanted to be welcomed into the big house, but the people in this big house didn’t want me, and they encouraged their dogs to chase me away.

Finding Hidden Color Through Photo Editing
Why did I take a picture of a mud puddle? That is the question I asked myself as I looked through my photo gallery. I pulled up the photo in my new photo editing app and began adjusting the saturation and contrast. Out popped all this color! Oh yes, I thought, that is what I was taking a picture of, I remember now. Many times, I have felt frustrated that my photo did not capture the vividness of the scene I was trying to portray. That changed when I found the Polish Pro app.

The Ledger Book
The morning was damp and chilly as Peter James walked through the woods. Sun rays cut through a light fog and streaked through the trees. But Peter was lost in his head. It had been a rough year and his landscaping business was not doing well. Peter saw his father before him, still wearing his hardhat from the day’s work as a lumberjack. “Son, there are only two problems with owning your own business. One, you can’t quit. And two, you can’t get fired.”

How Three Strangers Changed My World
The sun was in my eyes as I drove to town, it had just peaked over the horizon and I was heading straight into it. Steam rose from the wet pavement. It was early morning, but it was already hot and humid. I thought about the day ahead. It would be a long day vending at the local farmer’s market. My car was loaded with merchandise, displays, tables, and a tent. The heat would make things more difficult.
