Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed watching documentaries about America’s top deadliest gangs and movies based on famous criminals for doing illegal activity. Usually in these types of cases, majority of the time, a man is in charge when it comes to gangs or smuggling drugs into the United States, but however, that is not the case in this true crime story. Majority of people who will read this, probably never heard of a woman named Griselda Blanco, who is well known for trafficking cocaine into the US. Honestly, I’ve never heard of her and if I have then I don’t remember, but I ran across a post on Facebook last week about the actress, Jennifer Lopez, who is reportedly suppose to play Blanco in an upcoming movie based on the drug trafficker’s life. If there is a movie coming out about Blanco’s life story then I definitely want to see it, and if you are familiar with her, I’m sure you would like to see it too. But anyway, let’s get into the case.
For awhile, I have been contemplating on when would be the perfect time to start this writing series that I have been wanting to create for the longest, but it’s been hard lately trying to find the time while focusing on college and myself. Now that I’ve found the time, I absolutely had no idea how to start this series off until some amazing women gave me some ideas to start off my first story about myself and my fitness journey in order to relate better to individuals that are involved with fitness or want to start the journey of living a healthy lifestyle. So, here we go!
My plan at the beginning of this week was to write about a certain topic that involves the criminal justice system but now, something has changed my mind. I have decided that I should speak out about the importance of forgiveness instead. I believe that it is important to talk about a certain topic that we do or can use in our everyday lives, especially since there is a large portion of individuals walking around in this world without knowing the power of forgiveness.
If there is anything that the twenty first century lacks, it would be the lack of respect people have when it comes to other people's relationships. Back in the day, if an individual were a homewrecker, or 'side piece' as some people like to call it now, it was kept secretive, and if you were caught, your reputation was ruined. But now we see people, mainly women, boasting about how they took someone's significant other as if they won a grand prize, when in reality, they are embarrassing themselves.
