My 2019 Year in Review
As December comes to a close, I look back over the year and review all that has happened. It serves as a learning tool as well as a chance to remember all that we accomplished during the year. The year 2020, in late 2019 I called the year 2020, the year of perfect vision. Looking back, the year is going to be one that many people will dread to recall.

The Bad and the Good
We’ve done this before, why would this one be any different? It was June in 1998 and Dad was all set to retire. Along with retiring, Mom and Dad had picked out a home for them to spend the rest of their lives at. Moving day was always exciting, Dad being a minister had moved a few times and this one was no different. Except this time, none of us kids were moving with them. We all had our own places but was there to help them. Mom was having some medical issues and was able to make an appointment on moving day. Dad took her to her appointment while the rest of us supervised the moving company. This was hard work, which was filled with drinking coffee, eating donuts and sharing stories with the family.

Believing In Santa
The year of 2020 has definitely been a year full of disappointments. Weddings postponed or not quite the day envisioned. Businesses struggling with restrictions placed on them forcing them to close or reduce their workforce. There is one thing that will never change. Santa Claus will still be heading out on Christmas eve to make his deliveries.

A Christmas Puppy
A puppy for Christmas could be the most awesome gift a family could get. It can also be a nightmare. Funny thing about puppies, they grow up. That cute little puppy is now a full-size adult dog. Did you consider the food the dog will eat? How about the vet bills for the dog? Will you train your puppy yourself or take classes with your dog? Yes, you take classes with your dog.

Skunks Make Horrible Customers!
Going out to play darts had always been fun and exciting for me. But not as exciting as the adventure a small black critter with a white stripe down his back created. The evening started out as most dart nights did, I’m at the line thinking to myself that I must concentrate, my aim must be perfect to make the shot. As I was about to release the dart my leg starts to vibrate, the dart missed it mark and I answered my phone.

Time
Time There never seems to be enough. Time is a measurement, what we don’t know is how much time each of us have. So many of us claim there wasn’t enough time. Time for a visit, time to get something done or simply time for yourself. What are you doing right now? Time is a choice that we prioritize what we choose to do. I make time to work, it’s something that I need to do. Over the last four years I made time to work and take classes to earn an associate degree. My point is that if something is important, you will make the time.
