Lover of life, love, and all the bright + beautiful little things in between! xoxo
So far so good today. Nothing out of the ordinary. I’m in the process of food prepping some of Dad’s favorite fruits so it’s easy to grab and eat whenever he wants it. Growing up, fruits would show up on the table…in a bowl…cut up and easily accessible for us to eat at any time. Now look at me. Returning the favor for my Dad when he looks and, more often than not, acts as if he’s totally capable of doing it himself. (He does and he doesn’t, depending.)
For as long as I can remember, my dad has had a sense of humor. Quick witted is an understatement. He’s five steps ahead of everyone where jokes are concerned and sometimes it’s as if he planned entire conversations to set up the punchline a few hours down the road. Amazing. And amazingly funny!
I taped down the charger cord under a note that said “Dad – Take your phone but leave the wire. Thanks!” and we’ll see it if works! Four days ago I did the same thing and thought I was a genius because the charger stayed in place! Hallelujah! I cannot tell you how many of them we’ve gone through in the last few years.
Today my lil sister had a baby! A little baby girl. 💕 Awwww. Such sweetness. The other 3 of us girls all had boys the first time around so she's the first to have a girlie first child.
A playlist with one song repeats in my earphones. The eerie melody and the heart grabbing story Rascal Flatts sung was my story being told with the kind of understanding that made me feel like I had a friend, a confidant….
it's not as easy as just opening your mouth and voila - all the perfect words are born immediately and in coherent order.
