If I were standing in front of you, this would be a different article. Security awareness and education isn't something that can really be taught over the internet. At least not in any sort of effective way. It's something that you have to experience. That is to say — cybersecurity month isn't just October — it's every day…and sometimes, twice a day (or three).

A crucial component of being truly proactive in regards to security is ensuring that everyone knows and understands their responsibilities around cybersecurity.

October.

Cybersecurity Month is an annual event during which the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its partners encourage people to take steps to protect themselves online. October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a time when we come together as a nation to raise awareness about cybersecurity issues. We all need to be aware of the risks we face everyday and what we can do to mitigate them. Why Cybersecurity? The internet is everywhere in our lives and with more than half of Americans having at least one social media account, we are increasingly interconnected through technology.

While this creates opportunities for businesses and individuals alike, it also presents new challenges. These include cyber attacks by criminals who want access to your personal information or money — including those who want access to your identity so they can commit fraud or other crimes using your name. But there are many ways you can protect yourself from these kinds of attacks, both online and offline.

During the month of october, national cybersecurity awareness month (ncsam) is observed to create awareness about cybersecurity safety.

When Is Cybersecurity Month 2021? National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) is an annual observance dedicated to educating the public about cyber security. The first NCSAM was held in 2001 and has been observed every October since then. The primary goal of this month-long celebration is to create awareness about cybersecurity safety.

The public and private sectors are encouraged to participate in NCSAM activities that focus on education, training and collaboration. What Is National Cyber Security Awareness Month? National Cyber Security Awareness Month was created by President George W. Bush in 2008 as part of his National Strategy for Information Sharing and Safeguarding.

The initiative aims to help people learn how they can protect themselves from cyber threats such as viruses and malware, identity theft, hacking attempts and more. It also encourages them to share information about these threats with others so they can avoid them too. The goal is for everyone to become more aware of their digital footprint and how it can affect their privacy, personal data and overall safety online.

Ncsam was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every american has the resources needed to stay safer and more secure online.

The National Cyber Security Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and awareness about cybersecurity issues. The NCSAM campaign was created in 2006 by NCSA with support from the Department of Homeland Security and private sector partners. NCSA encourages individuals, organizations and businesses to join them in their efforts to protect against cybercrime by participating in events during this month-long campaign which provides helpful tips for keeping your information secure online.

Abraham, who knew cybersecurity could induce belly laughs! Your article is like a stand-up special wrapped in a TED talk. I'm now penciling in Cybersecurity month right next to 'Taco Tuesday'. Promise to celebrate it like it's my second birthday. Keep the bytes and laughs coming!

Abraham, you just turned cybersecurity into a party! Now if only the piñata was a giant firewall and the candies - virus-free codes. I guess it's time to dust off my party hat for October. Brilliant article, it had me chuckling, and learning, all the way. Cheers!

Ha! Who knew cybersecurity could be almost as exciting as half-priced Tuesdays at the taco truck. Abraham, your article is a hit; it's spooky how perfectly it fits into October. Nothing like a dash of hacking horror to kick off the fall. Keep 'em coming, my folksy firewall thanks you!
