We are working with our OEM and silicon partners to strengthen the security base to meet the needs of an evolving threat landscape and a new hybrid world of work. Learn more about how the Windows 11 and Hybrid operating systems work in the Microsoft 365 blog.

In developing the Windows 11 operating system for hybrid working and learning, we worked from the first day closely with our hardware and silicon partners to seamlessly integrate software and hardware. Windows 11 provides a trust-free operating system that protects data and access to all devices. It is constructively secure, with new integrated security technologies that increase protection on the chip and in the cloud, enabling productivity and new experiences.

Windows 11 has a new version of Microsoft Store with a new interface and a wider selection of apps. The new store is an easy-to-use curated digital storefront. It is the fastest rebuild of the Microsoft store to increase speed, said Panos Panay in the announcement of Windows 11.

One of the more surprising announcements about the Microsoft Store, apart from the fact that Microsoft was not willing to give it up altogether, is that you will now be able to run Android apps on your Windows PC. You can launch Android apps in Windows and find them in the Store as well as Amazon's own App Store. Windows 11 uses Intel Bridge technology, a runtime post-compiler that lets you run Android apps and treat them like any other Windows app you snap, pin, or launch.

This will be an annual update to the new operating system, similar to Apple's efforts with macOS. While we await the public beta release of Windows 11, we have a handy guide on how to download the next version so you can prepare for it.

Microsoft has unveiled Windows 11, which has a major redesign and many new features. Windows 11 switches its look with a new Start Menu and round corners and includes a lot of productivity upgrades, including a snap-back layout for running multiple applications at once.

One of the biggest changes users will notice is that the Start menu has been moved to the center of the screen and when it is turned on it changes depending on the day and content you are working on. There is also a new Start button that is placed in the middle, and by pressing this button you will see all your current files, documents and apps. Light mode and Dark mode are now official, the rounded corners are a uniform design throughout the operating system, and there are colorful wallpapers to choose from.

Windows 11 has several user interface enhancements - including a new Start menu that looks more like an app launcher - shape - corners and snap controls that allow you to pin windows to places on your screen -, new widget icons in the taskbar - and a new Windows setup experience. Windows widgets in Windows 11 are now accessible from the dock and Microsoft is celebrating dynamic AI features that allow widgets in the Start menu to change depending on apps used and the time of day.

New in Microsoft's upcoming Windows 11 operating system is a Start Menu interface that resembles that of Windows 10X. In screenshots published by the Chinese website Baidu, the entire Windows 11 operating system appears to be complete with a new interface, a start menu, and much more. Many of the icons have been updated to give a fresh feel compared to Windows 10.

Although Microsoft cancelled its Windows 10.x operating system, it used much of the work for Windows 11. The operating system was originally designed for dual-screen devices, but the switch to traditional laptops was reversed. Microsoft simplified Windows for dual-screen devices and scrapped the feature in favor of its upcoming Windows 11 operating system. The Windows 10 operating system included a number of refined and simplified aspects of Windows and most of these features will be included in Windows 11 the first version of the operating system to be published in the United States.

Windows 11 was announced on June 24th, 2021 and is expected to be released in 2020. [9] Windows 11 is the successor to Windows 10, which was released in 2015. At the Ignite 2015 conference, Microsoft employee Jerry Nixon stated that Windows 10 was the latest Windows version, a statement that Microsoft later confirmed reflected the company's view. Windows 11 [8] is available as a free upgrade and compatible with Windows 11 and Windows 10 devices via Windows Update.

"and" Microsoft will introduce what we call the next generation of Windows. It's getting a full version bump, and we've said that we're going to use Windows 10, but that's not the only reason it's the next Windows.

Windows RT, which failed with Windows 8, was Microsoft's first attempt with Windows on ARM, but could not run Win32 apps. The next generation of Windows represents a major shift in the way Microsoft delivers Windows, and it's a major UX makeover. Microsoft Windows is expected to deliver a major user interface overhaul with a new version of the Windows 11 operating system.

Microsoft must first test the operating system with Windows Insiders before it is released to manufacturers and the general public. A leaked version of Windows 11 has surfaced, giving a first look at the near-final version of the new operating system (see other images in this post ). We have had practical experience with the leaked version that builds Windows 11 and confirms some, but not all, of the new features mentioned.

The demonstration also showed that the Windows Store supports Android apps that can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore. It seems that Microsoft will move the Xbox Game Pass to Windows 11, making it one of the most important apps for the operating system.

It includes pinned apps, up-to-date files and the ability to shut down and restart Windows 11 devices. Microsoft centered the app icons and cleaned the tray area, including a new start menu. It is a simplified version of the existing Windows 10 Live Tiles.
