We live in a technological world and the internet is a daunting place for anyone who isn’t tech-savvy. The new Windows 10 upgrade comes with its own improvements and features. However, it is not perfect, your PC might run into some issues. That is probably why you are here in the first place.

There is no need to panic as we are here to state a few common errors consumers face and tips on how to combat them.

A Lack of Space on Your PC

Even before you start using the new update, there is a possibility that you are not able to install it. Sadly, you might have to let go of a couple of things on your PC as this update will need all of it.

A quick way to get rid of the tens of gigabytes of space is to go for CleanMyPC. This will clean up all of your files including temporary files and clear up your windows registry. This will either delete all the files on your PC or give you the option to choose which ones you want to get rid of.

If those are important files that cannot be deleted, there is another hack. You can free up some space in your hard drive or the SSD card. The built-in Disk cleanup tool makes it easy to maneuver this task. All you need to do is go to the start menu and select accessories then system tools in all programs. There you will find the Disk CleanUp where you can choose which files you want to delete.

Notifications Are Turning into A Perpetual Alarm

The Action Center in the new update is a boon and a bane. While you can keep an eye on all of your notifications in one go, it can soon turn into an incessant ring that never goes off.

Fortunately, you don’t need to undergo this torture every time you switch on your gadget. In order to switch off the notification, you need to go to the start menu and select settings, click on system and then choose notification and actions. There is a toggle switch for you to choose if and when you want to receive notifications. If the apps are taking up space and you don’t actually need them, you can always uninstall it and nip the problem in the bud.

Privacy And Security

The default privacy settings in your laptop might be ideal for some people but not you. The new update allows you to personalize your security according to your wishes. Go to settings from your start menu, and choose privacy. You need to review all the available options and use the toggle switch to make the required adjustments.

Cannot Find the System Restore

This feature has been turned off in the new update by default. However, you don’t need to frantically search how to get help in Windows 10 on the internet. It is each to switch on.

Search for system restore on the start menu and select the restore point. When you see a system properties panel, click on the system protection tab. Make sure that you have selected the C: drive and press configure. Click the radio button next to turn on system protection.

You Can’t Play DVD Movies

Windows no longer have a built-in DVD player anymore probably because it is 2021. You will have to pay to download a DVD player on Microsoft today. But VLC always exists.

Your PC Boots Slowly

There are a lot of reasons why your computer might be boosting slowly. The first thing you need to do is check for malware. You can do that by pressing the windows and I key and check for updates. Another thing that needs to be done is to scan your PC for malware. You can do that by opening the windows defender and doing a full scan.
