Magic Vs Science

Magic against Science is one of those controversial topics found in and around the society. A majority of people believe in science while many disagree the fact that magic lives. If closely looked into these two topics ‘Magic’ and ‘Science’ has its own connections and also comparisons to each other.

Practically, science is a subject that many of us go through in our school career, while some also take into their lives. However, this vast subject too has its own paths such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and many more.

On the other hand, magic is something to believe in. Once the famous Norwegian author Roald Dhal stated his opinion on Sorcery, in this way “Those who don’t believe in magic won’t find it”. Witchcraft is brought to life through cultures, books, movies, myths and legends. Science too is brought into life the same way. Now that’s a comparison.

If information is gained on the other hand by the internet, it explains them in brief. “Magic” is explained as the power of apparently influencing events by using mysterious or super forces. The above definition is true to be acknowledged but also can be denied. Here it’s correct due to the use of the phrase ‘mysterious’, sortilege is something concealed from the ordinary world. J.K. Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them” and the “Harry Potter” saga provides very much of strong examples. Nevertheless, we can expect to see that witches, warlocks and wizards seem to hide their magical ability no matter what, The TV show which aired in CCBC and Discovery TV “Wizards Vs Aliens” provide stronger clues. Here the definition of magic is false again due to two reasons, the first as necromancy can’t be labelled ‘Super Natural’, reasoning the fact that magic is mysterious and surreal but not extra ordinary. The second is the use of the preposition ‘or’, sometimes magic can be both mysterious and super natural.

On the other end “Science” is defined as “the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of structure plus behavior of the physical as well as natural world through observations, and experiments. It is true that science is ‘intellectual’ which is the ability to think logically about things. Anyways this amazing subject isn’t practical due it’s branch of Chemistry. Chemistry being the central bridge of science, explains that there are tiny indivisible particles called “Atoms”. Moreover, a majority of physicists believe that there are sub atomic particles such as electrons, protons and neutrons, orbitals and nucleus. It is clearly seen through this point that science itself is some type of magic. If it is impossible to see sub atomic particles then this too is an imagination, which is also the same as sorcery is also most of the time imaginations combined with the ideas of writer or the teller. By this the reader might well see that is too one of the comparisons that magic and science can be the same thing but moves throughout differently.

In history of Necromancy, Witches and Wizards move towards present from Ancient past of around 2700 BC. Where a man named “Dedi” had done conjuring effects. Whereas the past of science too moves towards 440 BC where we can find Greek philosophers such as Aristotle and Empedocles. So the inaugurity of the two topics are from deep past.

The past also mentions about magicians such as Merlin, Morgana Le Fay etc. Creatures such as Yeti, Dragons, Unicorns and Phoenix. It also states that there were such as Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, Nicholas Copernicus and many more.

In the present, the justice given to science is very much used beyond its limits, due to the works of science alongside its companion which is none other than Technology has created artificial islands, forests, ponds, lakes which might end up with nothing but an artificial Earth. Science has done a great job including several severe side effects such as melting of polar ice caps, constant decrease of oxygen levels, global warming and destruction of the beauty of wildlife and natural landscapes.

Maybe if magic was there it wouldn’t have much a pessimistic effect as most of the time it’s connected with the use of natural powers like ice, fire, animals, trees, wind, and water. Warlocks treat mother nature as a plus point no matter what.

But Magic too has its own pros and cons likewise science. Magic might take two sides as black magic and white magic. Black magic might cause trouble as well as harm, whilst white magic might help in danger. Science too includes two sides, this huge subject can lead to evil and good. The choice lies on the intention of the individual.

People of our century has many misunderstandings about sorcery, majority think that it’s always used for cruelty. Therefore, formulate it as devilry. Devilry defines anything to do with the “Devil” we must also remember that magic always doesn’t include negative work it also has a bright side to look at.

Mishaps occur for science when its equalized to the word discipline. The reader must know that science can’t be discipline neither can discipline be science. This theory can be rather explained as that science creates discipline. An individual who has science involved must have static discipline in the field to keep his mind straight.

The connections and comparisons of both these titles are interesting that it is possible to be turned to a debate, but as many evidences are not convinced and some clues are not satisfying.

Community of the present shouldn’t spend their time in endless debates such as this time is important, gone time can never be taken back. Therefore, sorcery versus science is a draw which would leave the debaters frustrated, furious hence angry.

So, therefore we must remember that magic vs the science has no winner nor a loser. In my words Necromancy can be defined as “the ability of apparently influencing events by the natural forces that are concealed and most of the time abiding with Mother Nature. While science, is a field where logical and practical knowledge are used to understand the world in a better way.

The field of science and magic has connections alongside comparisons. It is to be remembered that this topic is not used as a public debate in the society. If Magic lives, we may see it one day. Because J.K. Rowling once stated that “It’s important to remember that we all have magic inside us” ……
