The intuitive interface of the B1's operation system, AMBER Robot Studio Software, all platforms supported and makes the command setting easily accessible for users without programming experience. By simply dragging & dropping the graphical icons like piecing together the puzzle, even children can create commands to control the robot arm.

[Normal - Teaching Mode]

AMBER B1 is also able to ‘learn’. By manually moving or rotating the arm from one position to another, it can learn movement and follow the pre-designed trajectory to complete the task. No coding is required for users throughout the whole process.

Once connected to a network, AMBER B1 can react to the commands from any Ethernet-based controllers (PC, smartphone, tablet, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino board), wireless or wired. Unlike RS485 and CAN conventionally used in other robots, Ethernet empowers AMBER B1 with faster and more stable real-time data transmission at lower power consumption. Tele-operation efficiently expands the applications coverage of AMBER B1.

Another groundbreaking feature only found in AMBER B1 is the cable-free communication between the joints of AIOS. The wireless network extends the effective communication range of the actuators, allowing them to communicate with each other remotely to coordinate the activities. This increases its longevity, extensibility, and utility.

Each joint of AMBER B1 is proprietary AIOS (All-In-One Servo) that organically incorporates a brushless servo, a high torque density outer rotor motor, a high-precision Harmonic Drive® reducer, and encoders into a compact size as 1/10 that of normal servo systems. AIOS strikes the perfect balance between power and size. Current, impedance, torque, velocity & position control modes are accessible for different tasks.

Industrial Harmonic Reducer

Harmonic gearing is characterized by low to zero backlashes, highly precise motion, and maximum torque. The integrated output bearing with high tilting capacity enables heavy payloads without extra support, ensuring a strong yet lightweight and space-saving design. It’s further optimized in AMBER B1 that provides industry-grade performance affordable to consumer-level users.

7-Dof Space Redundancy

Inspired by the suppleness of the biological arm, 7-Dof redundancy is inherent in AMBER B1 to realize a smooth, continuous priority transition between the end-effector trajectory tracking motion and the obstacle avoiding motion when necessary. This feature offers human-like flexibility and effectiveness, especially in cramped conditions.

AIOS VS Traditional Actuator

Compared to other actuators that exist in the market, AIOS is both stronger in performance and lower in pricing.

AMBER B1’s modular design provides the greater structural possibility in the robot arm motions and means more room for secondary development driven by different purposes. Each actuator can be independently modified, replaced, or exchanged with another or between different systems. Modularity allows customization, upgrade, and maintenance to be limited to a portion of the system, rather than an overhaul of the entire unit.

Standalone Reusability
