Why Being Alone is Awesome

A long time ago, I used to presume that I had to be forever the main scene of a party. I used to make regretful arguments and implement the plan I was not particularly entertained with just to live up to the group. Someway down the line, I grew frightened as well of myself not being liked for who I really am.

Now I get it a little bit as to why my friend was probably avoiding our conversations. It’s like attempting to force a square peg through a round hole — you end up getting angry and running out of there.

Being alone was once upon a time a dreadful thought for me.

But guess what? Later, I realized it was really fun. It was the time when I could explore who I was and understand the things that I really liked. And then I understand, I don’t need … It is amazing to have me alone, talking to myself, and still having fun!

Just mind it — there are guys of genius who don’t always hang out in small groups. They learn that true companionship is born from feeling confident with wearing the skin you live in So instead of looking around for parties and trying to impress everyone, I’m using these days more productively taking on challenges that are close to my heart. And you know what? It feels amazing.

Here’s the best part: Now I don’t need to care about what people think right.

It’s alright because I’m just being myself and that’s who I am. I realize that I will locate my herd someday, the folks who blend with my true self. Until then, I have no complaints, have no problems cheering up myself.

Have you ever felt like you played another person’s role or imitated someone to be among them? What process were you undergoing to reinvent yourself?
