What About Pills Or Smoke On Mother's Day?

No big deal, then again, maybe it was!

Mother's Day - A trip to the river late! Picking up groceries for the grad party and Mother's Day picnic for today's date. I will pick up my pills that didn't come in the mail. But I had to go to the clinic to be given bail.

I spoke with two sons and two daughters today! And a few sister friends along the way. It was a good day!

Pills

No pills

To many spills

Not able to bill

No reason to sit still

Yes, I can mill

around the till

and fill

pills.

~

What did I learn?

Do not order pills to come in the mail

They can be delayed, and I have to get bail

instead of costing $40., it costs me $67.00

for 5 extra days of pills. That did burn!

It was enough to make me want to holler.

~

I learned this about pills -

To not fill my pill trays on Sunday

When I am out on Sunday, I have to wait until Monday

Or sit in a clinic with sick people. One who may have covid

others who had coughing for weeks already and did

think it was worse, and others who had other ills.

~

Smoke from fires -

When allergic to smoke, it is no joke

And it is not fun to have so much smoke

From a neighboring country that gives me a headache

and a stomach ache and a cough and backache

Well maybe the backache was from walking too much today

I should've gone home earlier before I had to walk and play

with the hubby, the grandkids, the great-grandkids, and another Dear.

But it was an overall fun day and only happens once a year!

Quite the rhyming poem and I am glad your Mother's Day was good.

When I lived in Texas, smoke came from the fires in Mexico....I get it.

  • There's a fire in a neighbouring country? Did I miss something? Loved your poems!
