If You don't take the stories that You find

Residing within Your mind

And use ink on the page to let them lie

When Your time comes, Your stories will go with You

They'll never have had a chance to live and breathe

Like You will eventually, Your stories will die

That is why no matter how ticked off I get with Vocal, I still write my stories. They are for me more than anyone else. I have many not published because i never stop. Donna and i started from grassroots, before the TS flowers bloomed. So much truth in this poem.

Very introspective. I love when poetry is a top story.

  • This reads like a horror story to me. I've never gotten past wondering what untold stories there are in graveyards. Congrats on the Top Story! Great poem!

Exactly!! How I wish my grandmother wrote down her stories. She had so many, and now, like her, they are gone.

  • Truly a deeper meaning behind this I love it πŸ₯°

This is just perfect. So so true. I always feel that even if a story is never completely finished or you don't think it's perfect or whatever hang ups are stopping someone from publishing it...putting it out there...they need to just let it go our there...or else we'd never know what comes from it! Congrats on a beautifully written Top Story!

I feel perhaps stories are like fish eggs, few reach maturity.
