There Was Much to Say
There was much to say, if you had loved me that day.
There was a path to walk, if you had come two days earlier.
Today, I am drifting in the vast ocean currents,
Heading towards a distant shore,
Where fallen leaves disappear into the darkness.
The deep night calls me, and you come today.
Oh, you have made my farewell evening cry.
If you had come, oh guest,
When the days were dry and barren,
The champa flowers would have bloomed, if the autumn moon had smiled then.
