Silent Cracks

Kindness whispers gently from some silent fractured moments.

While on the way to home yesterday,

Heard two siblings teasing each other playfully-

“you’re adopted,” they chuckled

A moment of reflection struck me,

For those kids who actually bear the label in reality.

In the hope of gaining a family,

Yet feeling unloved.

Noticed so many faces concealing sorrow,

Behind the veneer of cheerful smiles.

Wondering why I could see what others couldn't.

Noticed so many children growing up,

In this beautiful vast world.

Finding love among divorced parents,

Struggling to find love between them.

Now as a grown-up, I believe,

This world craves kindness.

A firm belief, a truth I hold:

This world hungers for kindness.

So true… we all want kindness… & love. ‘Heard two siblings teasing each other playfully- “you’re adopted,” they chuckled… Interesting snippet to overhear… obviously secure in their relationship.
