**Love**
Do we trust each other? Do we? Maybe not? You think
Perhaps today I am with some dazzling young woman,
Lost in her lips, her chest, her touch; on Sunday I'll be
With another girl. And I think of your unique body
Maybe crushed by some powerful handsome god;
Who wouldn't be moved by the sound of your voice for weeks?
Who wouldn't fall in trembling love at first sight of you? Maybe they
Keep you in their arms and chest in a five-star hotel, or an ancient castle.
Maybe you've gone to the mountains with someone,—I think,—spending evenings at garden parties;
Finally, someone will take you home, embracing you, holding you to their chest;
Maybe you think that in this charming November fog and cold
I am lost in the most delightful human fever with someone else.
Do you suffer from doubting me? Constantly? The way I
Tremble from doubting you? Sleepless in nightmares?
Do we trust each other? In our disbelief, day and night,
Do we turn our doubts into love, filling our hearts?
