Today I cried because I love my life.
I never thought I would.

With purpose coursing through my veins
Something insane driving me
Something making my heart go wild.
I never thought I would have the freedom
To be like me, act like me
And find the things that make my heart sing
Like skateboards and stethoscopes and hand sanitizer.
I never thought I’d want to stay up late in the night
My fingers frantically racing across my keyboard because I care
My notebook filled with little drawings of bones and muscles and tissues
Because I still love.
They said the road-less traveled was dangerous
But I never looked back.
