Canvas of Night Terrors

A Twisted Art

Dear Andy K,

In the canvas of my mind,

A world of terror I find,

Where darkness reigns and nightmares dwell,

And in my dreams, I am under their spell.

My mind becomes a frenzied muse,

As I draw out my nightmarish views,

In vivid colors of red and black,

I pour out my soul and all that I lack.

Shapes and shadows dance in the air,

As if painted by a madman's despair,

Their eyes shine like stars in the black,

As they come to life and start to attack.

With every stroke, the darkness grows,

As the colors of my dreams ebb and flow,

And I find myself lost in a world unknown,

Where night terrors reign and fear has grown.

With each stroke of my brush or pen,

I capture the horror that haunts me again,

My nightmares come to life on the page,

As I create a world of terror and rage.

My brush strokes, wild and free,

Capture the fear that surrounds me,

As I paint the shadows of my fears,

And the monsters that make me shed tears.

But even as I paint the darkness in,

I know that I will find a way to win,

For in the art that I create,

I find the strength to face my fate.

And so I paint my way through the night,

With every stroke, I summon the light,

And when the morning sun does rise,

I know that I have overcome the night's lies.

For though the night terrors come and go,

And their power ebbs and flows,

I know that I am an artist brave,

And that I will paint my fears away.

For in my creations, I find a release,

A way to cope and find some peace,

My nightmares are no longer just mine,

But art for others to see and define.

So I'll keep painting and drawing my fears,

And let my art dry up all of my tears,

For in the darkness of the night,

My art shines brightest, in its own right.

Sincerely,

Andy K
