Blade Runner

A critique

A masterpiece of production design and cinematography. A screenplay bursting at the seams with themes and ideas. All tied to rather dull story about a detective who doesn’t really detect anything.

It’s an admirable but flawed film, and, I prefer the original version with the film-noir voiceover.

Ford has a knack for picking scripts with huge story problems 😁 But I loved this one anyway 😁

  • I enjoyed it.

Rutger Hauer's "tears in rain" monologue at the end of the film is, as a standalone improvisation, one of the best ever in film, though. Nice review!

  • I have not watched this movie. Excellent review!

Concise review. I think I like Bladerunner, because I like Harrison Ford.
