Brother and sister see the same Shadow from the corner of their eye. Any time of year, Shadow may run by the windows, always outside. Sister turns her head at the strange movement, but Shadow is gone. She asks her brother if he saw that. He asks what she means.
Like, a man but a shadow, she says. He nods.
Brother sees Shadow, too. Neither see Shadow directly.
Then one day, Shadow stops walking by the windows. A decade later, Sister mentions Shadow without mentioning Shadow. “For a year…”
Brother shakes his head, knowing. “It was longer than that.”

The Road Of Lost Souls.
I'm walking down a road that doesn't have a name or an ending. I keep walking continuously, and the road I am walking doesn't appear to lead anywhere. I am surrounded by mist and trees, and the roads are damp and muddy. All I can hear is whispers of my name in the trees, and I see faces appear and disappear as they cry in the wind.

When We Were Very Young
In another box set that my parents got me when I was younger contained four books by A.A. Milne. 'When We Were Very Young' is a collection of poems that Milne wrote for his son Christopher Robin. This is a book that is full of references to Mr. Edward Bear, but a lot of the poems give some various descriptions of life of a very young child and where, when, how and why they do what they do. The illustrations are quite cute for you can see what Christopher Robin is and may be thinking. Also, Pooh Bear does make his self-known at various points. I have read these verses many, many times over the years and each time make me feel good about myself.
