Use 1 of Present Continuous | Momentary situations (now)
The Present Continuous expresses the idea that something is happening at the moment of speaking.
The Present Continuous also expresses the idea of time for today, this month, this year, this century, etc. Thus, the Present Continuous refers to a longer action in progress, but which may not be happening at the exact moment of speaking.
Examples:
