MOMENT OF SILENCE

self-reflection doesn't kill, or does it?

It's very nostalgic to remember the person you used to be around who's no longer in your life. Have you ever realized that you'll never be that person again? It's not just that the person has gone but they also took what you used to be. A part of you is gone, an image, a completely different person. And I'm not saying that you'll be worse now, it's not about good or bad, it's about someone that you were, your particular existence.

It's about the way you used to do certain things because of them, something that you discussed only with them, something that only they were able to bring out of you. Have you ever realized how you haven't talked about those things for so long? Everything is gone with the past.

I read somewhere like this that to know someone for a longer term, you'd get to see a character of them dying and becoming a whole new person. I wonder if this was about it. How, without knowing, we not only say goodbye to the person who meant everything to us but also to ourselves. We leave and try to move on. And there are so many times when we are sad without missing that person, perhaps we are missing ourselves?

Wow! This went real deep, bringing back so many memories. Still, those souls never really leave you Catherine. They are embedded somewhere in your psyche and whenever you need them just channel them positively. somewhere, both your essences will meet and become one.

  • I started crying reading this, it just hit me so hard. I had a person like that, who's no longer in my life now 🥺🥺🥺
