What Can We Expect From an Evil Fallon Henley?

NXT's Spring Breakin' event spanned two episodes and featured some amazing moments, including the following surprise development: Fallon Henley has crossed over to the dark side.

The entire event was an interesting one for Fallon Henley. She had spent several weeks establishing herself as NXT's locker room leader, and that included Week 1 of the event, where she stood up against on-the-rise villainess Jaida Parker, who stated that it was best for her to mind her own business in response to Fallon's recent assistance towards Thea Hail and Kelani Jordan. This would lead to an in-ring contest, where Fallon, who was portrayed as standing up in defense of being there for her friends, ended up losing to the self-serving Jaida.

Which brings us to the conclusion of the two-week event. Thea Hail was set to face off against Jacy Jayne in a long overdue grudge match, and it was backstage that all of Chase U encountered Fallon. Thea, with her usual amount of energy, asked Fallon to be with her at ringside, though Fallon had objected, adding that Jaida's comments got to her--as well as the fact that the Draft came and went, and Fallon wasn't chosen. Thea begged and pleaded with Fallon to accompany her, and after a series of energetic pleas, Fallon begrudgingly accepted.

So the match took place, and unsurprisingly, we saw attempted involvement from Jacy's evil right-hand woman, Jasmyn Nyx. Her attempt to attack Thea was thwarted by Fallon, who shoved Thea away and took the brunt of the attack. Thea ended up winning over Jacy, a wonderful feel good moment that was months in the making. A celebration followed, but that would be a side note for what took center stage.

In an absolutely stunning moment, Fallon turned heel on Thea, pulling her back into the ring before suddenly decking her. I was shocked but not shocked at the same time. This was a few weeks in the making. This dates back a few weeks to when Fallon, Thea, and Kelani Jordan were tag partners. They ended up winning that bout, but one thing I couldn't help but notice was that while everyone else celebrated, Fallon was a bit on the stoic side. It was like she wasn't having any of it, even in victory. I guess the only shocking part was that they decided to pull the trigger that quickly, but it was quite delicious.

I always love a good heel turn in women's wrestling, but the best ones come from the most pure of the babyfaces. That was definitely Fallon. It's always delicious to see the most heroic of heroes, the white-meat babyfaces, the purest of hearts, suddenly become cold, heartless, and evil. I figured that we would see more of Fallon, and sure enough, we did.

Fallon displays her new heel persona in a segment with Kelani Jordan

After we see Thea fretting over yet another betrayal, we head to the parking lot, where Meta-Four boasts about Lash Legend's confrontation with new NXT Champion Trick Williams. After that, we see Kelani Jordan looking for answers from the newly heel Fallon, who basically served as a mentor for Kelani in recent weeks. Kelani stated that Fallon wasn't being herself, but in response, the evil Fallon informed Kelani that she wanted to be left alone, and that she is finally planning to put herself first.

I'm just going to say it; I had wanted a heel turn from Fallon Henley for a while, but never said it publicly because I figured it would never happen. I was hoping that it would be Kiana James who corrupts Fallon; as we all recall, they were unconventional tag champs at one time, and even after they were dethroned, I imagined some scenario where Kiana molds Fallon into her evil image, and Fallon embraces it fully. I had seen Fallon before under her more familiar ring name, Tesha Price, and I think this is the first time she's ever been a villainess in her overall career.

So what can we expect from the evil Fallon Henley from this point on? I think we'll see Fallon unleash her heel persona to Kelani in a violent manner within the next week or two. As for elevation, I wouldn't be surprised if Fallon ends up becoming the inagural Women's North American Champion as a result of her heel turn. She would definitely deserve it; she's been in NXT for three years and hasn't had a singles title as of yet. As for her overall persona, I expect Fallon to be viciously violent to her babyface counterparts. She's already hard-hitting, and I can see her being ruthless in quite the villainous manner. I'm definitely looking forward to see what Fallon Henley will give us in this new evil role!
