To melt the ice

Frozen warmth

To melt the ice

this island does not hold me

No longer does ice eternally freeze

Warmth melts away the cold

Heat from a source unknown

Chill from a source unbased

And when the icicles

Bound in unison

By chains as clear as

Frozen water

Begin to dissipate and capitulate

To the warmth of the word

By some enigmatic instinct

I try to grab a hold of them

But a palm gripping ice

contradicts

So all that’s left is

Watery scars

That evaporate upward

When Sunrays are cast
