Select yourself a lane and there remain.
Neither jump nor bump to gain position.
It’s best that you don’t whinge or show disdain;
this be a queue - not an exhibition.
.
For those in front, and those you’ve left behind,
allow them some degree of space to move;
for together, with forward thrust aligned,
the gains come easy - given less to prove.
.
In public interest, be polite, don’t pry.
As stance improves, try to show discretion:
let the grizzles and grumbles pass you by;
in reply - it’s the smile makes best impression.
.
Where upon people mass, and muddles brew,
it should be there, alas, they form a queue.

A first impression has a lasting effect - it makes a notable difference. In a subtle way that’s who I am as a poet. A ‘first impression’ looking for the gentle ‘twist’ that draws attention to a novel observation.
