I heard the wind, its path descend
As I did my little dance.
~
How lovely to have that embrace upon my skin,
and envelop it, perchance.
~
We circled in the field and spun a pirouette,
the gale whipped me into form, taking me, his coquette.
~
We did cavort in harmony and romped around that old barn,
its planks did shake and loosen paint, once sturdy and not worn.
~
But time could not erode the life of that season on the farm,
so, the farmer's daughter, (I) did succumb to the wind and to his charm.
~
Now, I'm sure you have a story of the wind whose path you've crossed,
I hope you will recall a memory that lingers on the heart it has embossed.
