Edelweiss, a flower of grace

That grows in wild, a lonely space

Upon the peak, where sun and clouds do meet

Its petals kissed, by winds so sweet.

In southern part, the Matterhorn doth rise

With rocks and snow, it touches the skies

And there, a solitary edelweiss grows

Defying all, with beauty aglow.

The sun, with gentle rays, doth warm its face

As if to bless, this blossom of grace

And passionate clouds, they come and go

Leaving on the edelweiss, a love token so.

The dew, a symbol of love's purest hue

That clings to petals, soft and new

Reflecting light, in a rainbow hue

A sight to see, when morning breaks anew.

Oh edelweiss, thou art a treasure rare

That grows in heights, beyond compare

A symbol of strength, in a world so wild

A beacon of hope, in an endless mile.

So let us cherish, this gift from above

That grows so high, in a world of love

For in this blossom, we find a ray

Of hope, that shines, both night and day.

So here I stand, before this sight so grand

With love and awe, I lift my hand

To bless this flower, that grows so bright

A solitary edelweiss, that shines so bright.

Oh orthogneiss rocks, how strong and grand

That guard this blossom, with a steady hand

Offering shelter, from winds so wild

Withstanding all, in the mountains piled.

Your rough embrace, a comfort to this flower

That grows in grace, with each passing hour

Protected by your strength, so bold and true

The edelweiss, a symbol of what's pure.

And then, the winter comes, with blankets of snow

That cover the hills, with a peaceful flow

And there the edelweiss, it finds its rest

Dormant and still, in a peaceful nest.

Underneath the snow, so quiet and calm

It slumbers deep, like a babe in a psalm

And when the spring arrives, with its gentle touch

It awakens, to the sun's warm hush.

And so the cycle, of life begins again

With each new day, a new chapter begins

And the edelweiss, it blooms once more

A symbol of hope, that endures.

So let us cherish, this flower so rare

That grows in mountains, so tall and fair

And let us hold it, in high esteem

For it is a gift, from the mountains supreme.

And so I stand, before this sight so grand

With love and awe, I lift my hand

To bless this blossom, that shines so bright

A solitary edelweiss, that shines so bright.

Oh edelweiss, with petals so bright

Thou art a symbol, of nature's light

And with a grateful heart, thou dost bask

In the warmth, of the nearby heath and moss.

The heather and moss, they offer thee rest

Their gentle embrace, a warm caress

And thou dost bask, in their gentle glow

With gratitude, for their love that doth show.

And as the climbers, make their way up high

They pause and bow, before this flower nigh

Its solitary beauty, a sight to see

A wondrous thing, for all eyes to be.

With awe and wonder, they stand in its light

And bask in its glory, so bright and bright

For it is a symbol, of nature's might

That grows so strong, in the mountains' height.

And as the wind blows, and the storm doth rage

The edelweiss stands, its petals ablaze

A beacon of hope, in a world so wild

A symbol of grace, in an endless mile.

So let us cherish, this flower so fair

That grows in the mountains, with such care

And let us hold it, in high esteem

For it is a gift, from the mountains supreme.

And so I stand, before this sight so grand

With love and awe, I lift my hand

To bless this blossom, that shines so bright

A solitary edelweiss, that shines so bright.

Oh edelweiss, thou dost bask in the light

Of nature's wonders, in the mountain's sight

And across the peak, a nest dost rest

Where eagles soar, with their young so blessed.

In late spring, the eagles take to flight

Their offsprings learn, to spread their wings in might

And thou dost watch, with awe and delight

As they soar high, into the mountain's sight.

And then there are the ibexes so bold

With grace and strength, they conquer their love untold

In the beginning of spring, they fight and dance

In a ritual, of love's sweet chance.

And thou art witness, to this wondrous scene

Of nature's love, in a world so serene

With petals lifted, to the sky so high

Thou art a symbol, of nature's sweet delight.

So let us cherish, this world so rare

Where love and beauty, are everywhere

And let us bask, in its gentle glow

With gratitude, for the wonders that do show.

And so I stand, before this sight so grand

With love and awe, I lift my hand

To bless this world, that shines so bright

With wonders of nature, that fill our sight.

Oh mankind, hear thou my plea

For the edelweiss, so bright and free

It stands alone, in the mountain's sight

A symbol of nature's purity and might.

And yet we threaten, this world so fair

With our own deeds, of greed and despair

We ravage the earth, and pollute the sky

With our actions, so careless and so high.

But let us remember, this blossom so rare

That stands so strong, with such grace and care

It is a symbol, of nature's sweet delight

A reminder, of what we must uphold and fight.

So let us act, to defend nature's might

With all our heart, and with all our might

For the future of our world, depends on this

That we protect, its beauty and its bliss.

And so I stand, before this sight so grand

With love and awe, I lift my hand

To bless this world, and its gentle light

And to remind us, of our own fight.

So hear me now, and take heed of my words

For the edelweiss, it is a symbol of nature's worth

And let us cherish, this world so rare

And take action, to defend its gentle care.
