blind to earth's treasures,
our wonder usurped by woe–
miracles no more.

This was inspired in part by the image I used, but mainly the lovely view I had while writing it outside. It's a fantastic morning here, with mild temps and lots of spring-time activity–bees looking for places to nest, birds scrounging for meals, bunnies hopping about. Wonderful food for the soul. It made me think about how often all the little miracles of this life surround me, and I fail to notice them anymore, just part of the background.

True of life for me right now. Beautifully written.
Completely missed this. Trying to catch-up a little. So very true! Beautifully expressed, finshitdamn.
Heather, that is so true! We take so much for granted and miss so much
Simply Fabulous!!
Apparently I'm the only one who saw something entirely inappropriately when I saw your cover pic. And the dripping didn't help either 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jokes aside, I loved your wonderful Haiku!
I loved it wants to read the reason behind the poem
Well done. I liked it.
I love this so much and the inspiration behind it. ❤️ Spring always makes me feel the same way -- like I need to spend more time outside; it's a guilty feeling, lol! These words here are somarvelously strung together 😍
Beautiful and astute poem! Loved reading the backstory behind its composition!
The second season is out? I loved the 1st season!
What is life if full of care...
‘Our wonder usurped by woe.’ Definitely the line of the day, Heather!
Beautiful said. Also, that pic is so sad. It's like we have the world on a string and we don't even notice that it's melting.
We truly do need to notice the world around us more. Nice poem!
Lovely poem!
