Sweet like Nanna
Chocolatey hands and a full heart
C upboards in Nanna’s kitchen, just out of reach,

O h how I did anything for those

O nly if you were good though – bribery using
L ittle morsels bought for baking.
A llowed exclusively after dinner,

B est believe I still sneak them,
U nmatched by any candy or sweet,

O ne by one, or all in one go,
N ostalgia still tingles my tastebuds with
S weet memories of Nanna’s love.

Your sweet Nanna. I liked how you did this. Great form! Chocolate is the best!
Nannas are there to spoil, aren't they? And yes, everyone must have the same. I remember that well, comparing just to make sure.
😍😍 Love this 😍😍 Great form and flow of language from line to line. You've really painted a picture. And I'm suddenly so nostalgic. 😂😭
Love this acrostic!
Love this! I too love those chocolate chips as we call them.
Ohhhh NANAS! They get so GOOD at what they do. Must be a secret that only gets passed on when...Moms become Nanas 😉 A yummy challenge entry!
Not me reading that as Chocolate Butt Ons instead of Chocolate Buttons 🤣🤣🤣 Now I wish I have have some! Loved your acrostric!
Lovely! What a great acrostic! Full of sweetness and nostalgia!
Lovely memories! And ! love the poem form you chose!
Delightful poem! Love it. 😊
This is brilliant, Joe. I love how you elevate the very worthy but simple chocolate buttons to something so special and connected to your Nanna! Wonderful!
I love this. Absolutely beautiful!
My grandmother always had Smarties because "they're your favourite." They were never my favourite, but they'll always be laced with her.
