When we were new, you gifted me a metal tin of dessert tea: Dark chocolate peppermint.

I used all but the last teaspoon, afraid I’d miss it once it was gone.

Then you started to make me believe you’d be around if I wanted more.

I’ll never forgive you for that.

The decadent scent slowly fades from the empty tin.
