REM

A deep realm of sleep,

Very soothing and satisfying,

Almost as gorgeous,

As a puff of nicotine, in,

The early morning, too,

Wake the system, and,

To get you motivated for,

The day ahead of us,

Are not those pillows nice and grey,

Unwinding my life from the monotony, that comes through,

The years of shame on the empty couches,

Of a therapist’s grudge towards humanity,

It trickles down to batter your every feature,

Of rem sleep as an excellent notion,

For the potion that we adore,

Living for the moment of it all,

As you dream through life,
