Mary Anning. A Different Perspective.

Roaming, a million years prior,

Our story shrouded in mystery.

One girl, determined,

Knowledge to learn,

Made our existence known.

Mary Anning, on her own mission,

Out to prove we were no fairy-tale.

These rocks on the beach,

Not just shells or cockles,

But fossils from our remains.

We have a name,

Cry it out loud,

T Rex, or Plateosaurus

And every type of dinosaur.

Millions of years in the future,

We were discovered again,

By the intelligence of this woman.

She understood,

Our reasons for living.

Perhaps not taken seriously,

Continuing her fight,

Her argument that once we roamed,

Which was proven right.
