On the Wind
Listen.
Extraordinary things breathe in the wind,
Silently speaking our secrets within.
Stories of old and lives untold,
Tales that have yet to begin.
Dust motes collect our histories,
Through golden rivers of light,
Trapping unspoken confessions,
Language to incite.
Truth drawn out in whispers,
On the backs of spirits ride,
In a cacophony of sonnets,
Where silence goes to die.
For those who really listen,
And those who bravely dare,
Give rise to dark mythologies,
When hungry souls share.
A record of the dying,
Legends begin to twin,
If you would only listen to,
The breath on the wind.
