A Poem

Sitting in the meadow

Out under the stars

He sits watching

Over the yards

Protecting all

From the pests

That roam the area

Looking for rodents to eat

Sitting under the moon

With nothing to do

But to stalk the yards

Looking for mice to chase

And windows to peep

Yowling in the alleys

Looking for love or a fight

But settling for the scraps

In the trashcan

Out all night

Prowling to his heart content

Only to come in and sleep all day

I loved this beautifully written feline adventure you've provided us with!! I love the thought and imagination you put into this!! Great work MC!

  • Your story sounds about right!πŸ˜ŠπŸ’• I had a house cat for 15 years because she was declawed she couldn't be out. I think it made her crabby! πŸ˜‰

Your poem indicates that you have strong observation for natural creatures. Because you crafted a well image of cat with nocturnal activities and at the end for sleeping all the day. I also have cat, and she is super active at night time. Each and every line of your poem is relatable natural and complete. I will add playing with some cockroaches too.
