Every year, on the eve of the winter solstice
When the world is at it’s coldest
You can count on her to come home to visit
She does not come to sit
But instead, she’s pacing the floors
Looking for that which was once hers
She rises from her cold, hard bed
Getting brambles caught on her head
Passing through the frozen forest
From her cursed place of rest.
Beautiful Lina
Dreadful Lina
She will find what she attempts to find
And when she does, she won’t be so kind
Reaching deep into the heart
Of the man who tore hers apart
Choking him to death
She will take his breath
Until rigor has his body froze
Then, she can return to her peaceful doze
Inside the forgotten ground
Never to be disturbed by human sound
Vengeful Lina
Gorgeous Lina

Oh, this is a dark little, pretty little poem about sweet sweet revenge. Loved it, Sharon!
Wonderful words with a shade of darkness
Wow I loved the darkness in this poem, so good. Vengeance is sweet
Well-wrought! What was your inspiration for this one?
I am so frightfully stirred by this that I will cross this name Lina off the list for my next hen 😁
Omgggg, I soooo wanna be Lina! She's my role model!
