Lights Out
Late night wandering and pondering

One by one the lights go out
But my bottle of wine and I
Carry on, our bond is stout
Here to see what we can spy
Not voyeurs, not lawyers
Just interested in the world
Glad to be neither employer
Nor employee. We’re not furled
Into this depressing reality
Of exchanging time for money
Just happy to be free
And be living honestly
