Lifeboat

I don't mention whirlpools, yet I feel whirlpools are implied

Meet me where you go

When the world gets too loud

There I'll be, you know

Trying not to look proud

Yes I've got the map to your quietest places

But that doesn't mean I'm freed from your stormiest faces

.

You can shake, you can rattle and roll

I can take it, I'll swallow it whole

Hold me close like a lifeboat

Let me feel stronger than I am

.

Meet me where I go

When I feel all alone

Be a shoulder, but

Don't let me lean too long

I don't want to be like this, no not even with you

In the game of pain I always gotta gotta gotta gotta lose

.

You can shake, you can rattle and roll

I can take it, I'll swallow it whole

Hold me close like a lifeboat

Let me feel stronger than I am

In the depths of this violent sea

Don't you dare leave any space for me

I'll float like a lifeboat

While that current's pulling me

Down

.

Treading water is exhausting

But it's so much better than sinking

And dry land is not an option

So cry me a river

I know you'll deliver

.

You can shake, you can rattle and roll

I can take it, I'll swallow it whole

Hold me close like a lifeboat

Let me feel stronger than I am

In the depths of this violent sea

Don't you dare leave any space for me

I'll float like a lifeboat

And be stronger

Than I am
