What is Lust…?

it’s the thing you strongly desire that at first, is seemingly robust.

But after indulgence, you feel regret and disgust.

It is that moment when you war with judgement, as your conscience initially puts up a fuss.

But, you were woefully ignorant —refusing to take heed and weight the consequences your conscience has discussed.

If morals reigned prominent…

If will-power was dominant…

If consciously competent—then remorse would not exist.

But in the midst,

you were weathered with artificial emotion —so laser focused on the mist, instead of exploring what’s the core contributor causing the wavering fog to drift.

Love is like the wind; you can’t see it but you can feel it.

Lust is like a cloud, you can see it;

when you try to immerse your hands in the cloud you realize you thought you felt it.

You then realize lust is a carnal euphoric myth.

Clouds are chronological and will dissipate with time.

Meaning…

when you sift lust & love

the feeling won’t last long;

the emotions will become a figment of the past—gradually descending

like slipping off of a cliff.

Limited Urges of Superficial Things

In the end, love is what clings:

not the ecstasies of fantasies and flings.
