I Will Ramble
As Long As There Are Words
a collection of words
jumbled up in a pile
little things that I’ve heard
but haven’t used in awhile
-
bounce around like a ball
stirring up this commotion
dribbling down the halls
pure untapped emotion
-
a tap, tap, tap, tap vibrating the glass
continuously begging for attention
a dire question intentionally unasked
though nobody once dared to mention
-
dribbles like water spewing out of my head
like a rusty old unmaintained spigot
all those things pondered yet still left unsaid
as if no one intended to speak them
-
now overflow spilling onto a page
second thoughts, turn of phrases and rhymes
creating journeys no one’s ever made
holding them forever in time

That seems to describe a writer's mind to a T.
Sometimes it do be like that. Loved your poem!
