An old poem

***Going through some old poetry of mine and thought this was worth the share.***

With goosebump eggs laying in the grass,

You never gave me anything besides pain encased in broken glass.

Lucky strikes of lightning crossed our paths,

Forced yourself to make those tired eyes laugh.

We stitched together our broken hearts so many times now.

With our childhood wounds, we battled it out till we were nothing but dead in the ground.

A cold empty glare,

You really were never there.

All that pain of mine has turned into a figment of your imagination.

I hope this gives you some form of explaination.
