From the River to the Sea

A prayer

From the river to the sea,

Roar masses all over the world,

Exasperated by eyes blind to suffering,

Eager to witness the end of the genocide.

🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

People of all religions, praying for peace,

Angry protesters screaming for justice,

Lifting up signs across University campuses,

Endeared by the victims of senseless violence,

Seared by the fires of countless bombings,

Terrified thousands thirsty and starved,

Ignored by money hungry politicians,

Never surrendering to hopeless despair,

Envisioning a day when they’ll be set free.

Thank you for this ❤️❤️ Palestine deserves so much. This issue has been weighing on me hard as well. It's an absolute shame how it has been handled. I'm grateful that you've posted on it ❤️ In our thousands, in our millions, we are all Palestinians ❤️🇵🇸🇵🇸

  • Quality work as always and in a topic that is weighing heavy on all minds. I have my personal view on this topic regarding Israel and Hamas (I say Hamas because it is Hamas that Israel is attacking, not Palestine). Hamas is a radical Palestinian military faction that has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007. In October 2023, Hamas infiltrated southern Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking dozens more hostage. I completely understand why Israel has attacked Hamas. Unfortunately in the process, many innocent people (including children) have been injured and killed. Israel has detained nearly 10,000 Palestinians. Many of them are women and children. I understand the "Free Palestine" movement. But that should only pertain to the innocents who have been detained. The children and some of the women, I say some because some of those women are terrorists, should be released. That would be the right thing to do. But the terrorists should remain detained. After all, Hamas did attack Israel a few months ago. I feel President Biden has made the correct move in this situation. He has sent funds to assist Israel in combating the Hamas terrorists. But he has also sent humanitarian funds/aid/relief to Palestine to transport the innocent people out of harm's way and ensure that they are protected and supplied with their daily living needs. Biden has both angles of this incident covered. We should never let terrorism go unchecked. As for calling for a ceasefire, that is not President Biden's call to make. Therefore we should not be calling on him to make that call. However, it is the responsibility of Netanyahu (Israeli leader) and Haniyeh (leader of Hamas) to negotiate a ceasefire. They have had negotiations in the latter part of 2023, but it was a temporary ceasefire. Currently, Netanyahu and Haniyeh are renegotiating a ceasefire. But there has been a snag in the details. I'm confident that given a few more months up to a year we will see a ceasefire.
