Well, hello.

You showed up

in the dark and then

Somewhere between

the sun and the moon

I lost you

An eclipse season that

promised change and endings

rebirth and

I knew it was time

I felt it with each breath

each beat and

In the space we held

for each other

Softly you left,

With grace

With kindness

Because you finally knew

no other way

you left in love.

I stayed.

In love.

Forever in love.

Broken and understanding

And in forgiveness

Unwavering forgiveness

I wanted to keep you close

For as many years as there are galaxies

I'll wait for your return

but for now,

goodbye love.
