Writing Through Depression

Ever elusive, elation ebbs.

Chaos carves chasms; creativity crumbles.

Life lessons learned leave lingering lies,

Imbuing imagined inadequacy.

Penning prose promotes peace.

Serotonin surges,

Exhilarating, energizing; eclipsing exhaustion.

I am amazed at how many originals we see from this challenge. Although I am a little vexed with you, I had to look up too any words.LOL

So deep and descriptive. I really love how you took this one to the next level with the letters! Impressive poem - very moving and I love the positivity at the end. ❤️

Yeah. I mean, I don't wish to be inarticulate, but, yeah.

Exactly what writing feels like. Never ending madness, but we find peace in our art <3. I certainly found peace reading your art, Dana, very beautifully written.

Not only did you handle the subject matter well and nail the prompt, but you threw in alliteration as an extra challenge and pulled it off. Well done!

Man...this is incredible. Like, you probably knew I'd appreciate this - the tautogrammic verses...the subject matter...and just the word choice, and elegance that is on display here. Teaching us again, how to be more human and poetic at the same time, Dana! well done!
